Observations by CEO Ali Mirza – A tale of two cities: Shanghai to Tokyo

Last week on one of my regular business trips to meet with our teams in these two cities, it was encouraging to see how fast Asian affluence levels are rising. How consumers are being served by multiple brands and in turn how brands are reaping great returns.  How the Chinese traveler is so important for any economy and how carefully tailored strategies are needed to address the many segments that exist within segments of the population. One size certainly doesn’t fit all here.
