Agility Research & Strategy opened the recent China Luxury Retail Summit April 11th in Shanghai with a keynote presentation on the Chinese Millionaire in 2019. The Chinese Millionaire and affluent consumer is a vital demographic for all brands both domestically in China as well as outbound.
Agility shared insights from interviews with over 900 millionaires and contrasted findings from China with other key Asia Pacific markets. This was the first release of the findings and launch of the Agility China Millionaire 2019 Report to provide brands with clarity and insight into the buying trends and behavior of this lucrative Chinese consumer.
With over 200 attendees representing 120 brands this conference was focused on understanding the Chinese consumer and the developments across all areas of retail and buying behavior related to luxury and premium brands. In addition to Agility’s presentation other speakers from Tencent, Farfetch, Maserati and K11 also spoke about facets relating to the interplay between bricks and mortar, online and e-commerce in the China market.
